At Green Room Productions, we design and construct our own unique and often innovative sets. We have a number of generic set building components – pillars, steel deck, treads, flats, doors – which can be used to create simple, effective, flexible but ultimately stunning sets.
The photographs show just a small sample of the many items of furniture we have acquired and bespoke items that we have custom-made. Matching sofas, tables, chairs ranging from the Edwardian era (some pieces earlier) to the present day.
As well as crockery, cutlery and glassware, our collection of large and personal props includes specialist items such as a remote controlled “petal drop” rose for Beauty and the Beast, sewing machines for Made in Dagenham, Betty the Pig for Betty Blue Eyes and a film projector for Sunset Boulevard / Mack & Mabel.
Green Room Productions believes in paying close attention to the smallest details and that includes ensuring that footwear is in keeping with the period and coordinates perfectly with the performers’ costumes. As such we are able to provide shoes and boots in a wide range of styles, colours and sizes, and are happy to provide just one or two pairs or complete sets. We also have some unusual, one-off show-specific items such as the colourful, camp footwear needed for Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
Friendly yet professional, Green Room Productions has a growing reputation for being able to provide a service tailored to individual productions and pieces that are seldom found elsewhere. As such some things, particularly props and shoes, are in high demand so please make contact at the earliest opportunity.
